There really are only 2 reasons why you don’t have the life you want.

1. You don’t know how to get it

2. You know how, but don’t dare do the work

I’m now talking to the part of you that doesn’t dare, because you do know how to get it, but you’re blocked from trying because of what it might mean, and what you might lose.

You have the ability to be able to do whatever it is you choose, so there’s no reason why you’re not where you want to be. 

You’re not in Bali either, and the reason for that is because you didn't get on a plane that would take you there.

You wouldn’t expect to go to sleep in your own bed in middle England and wake up the next morning in Bali. So why would you expect that you can travel on your Earthly journey and wake up in a different mental state, with different life circumstances, than when you fell asleep?

So let’s talk about how to get where you want to be.

Your thoughts are within your control. 

In any thought you have there’s a part of you sitting at the back of the room, watching the louder part of your mind have the thought. And you can, at any moment, change your thoughts about something.

Imagine seeing someone horribly drunk outside a nightclub, lurching one way and then the other, shouting out, trying to accost people in the street.

You might think "Look at that idiot, got himself drunk and now looking for trouble."

But if I was to tell you that man had his drink spiked, and he’s in danger, and he’s scared for his life which is why he’s shouting for help, you’d probably rush to see what you could do, and call an ambulance and get him help, and stay with him until he was safe.

And all it took to go from condemnation to loving support was a little bit of information that changed your mind and helped you to see a new perspective.

So you’re currently in the mindset of thinking you know why people act the way they do. That one is selfish, that one’s entitled, this one is arrogant, or greedy, or wants attention. 

But truly, whatever form it comes in, all you’re seeing is the result of being scared and lost.

Remember that little child you saw in his pyjamas riding his bike near the road, unsupervised by any caring adult?

You didn’t think he was being reckless and should have to deal with any consequences. You got out of your car and took him to safety.

To have the life you want, you need to stop thinking you don’t know how to get it. 

You do know, but consider that you don’t want to know, because if you did know, then you’d have to do something about it, and that might mean changes in how you currently live.

Yet the life you want is not something scary. It’s the life YOU want, and I’m telling you, you’re allowed to have what you want, and to experience what happens when your dreams come true.

I know you think that going deeply into your spiritual journey might mean you get asked to do something you don’t want to do. 

Dear child, if you didn’t want to do it, it wouldn’t be the life you want.

God doesn’t ask you to do what you don’t want to do. There is no true will outside God’s will, and you are part of God’s will, and you are advancing God’s will through the power of your own Being.

So there’s no chance that God will say to a realised Being, "Oh good, I want you to go and live in Costa Rica and minster to the giant spiders in the jungle" when you don’t like the heat, you don’t like the local cuisine, and you definitely don’t like the giant spiders in the jungle.

God requires nothing more than for you to create the life that you want, that you chose to create before this lifetime, and yet you’re afraid, deeply afraid, that God will ask you to do something you don’t want to do, and you’ll either have to do it and hate it, or refuse to do it and the consequences of refusing to do the will of God are just too terrible to think about.

There is no hell, except the one you’re creating inside your mind right now. There is no desire from God for you to do anything you don’t want to do, for God needs nothing from you whatsoever, and can take nothing, and can only give, give, give of all his love and devotion to the part of Him that you are, and that your brothers and sisters are.

So what is stopping you is fear of God, and that is what you need to explore.

You fear your creator, which means that you do not trust Him, which means that you do not know Him, which means no wonder you’re scared. 

You must feel quite alone, at the level of consciousness from which you experience and express this fear. 

Look deeper. There is a well of knowing within you that knows the Truth of God. 

The real God. Not the false idea of God you’re currently in an abusive cycle of worship and fear with.
